BHTA Guide to Pressure Ulcers and Cash Savings

The British Health Trades Association (BHTA), has today called for an increase in NHS expenditure to achieve cash releasing savings and a  reduction in pressure ulcers. Pressure Ulcers cost the NHS an estimated £2.6b per annum, and in 2010 were linked to at least 25,000 deaths in England and Wales.

The BHTA has announced 9 key points within their paper that includes better training and reporting procedures and an awareness of suitable pressure relieving support surfaces.
